#Sologame

Created a #devlog on #itchio for those who are interested in what went well and what didn't for my first #sologame. Fair "warning": it's not a rollercoaster of challenge and emotion ;) because things actually went pretty well. I would love to hear your opinions about the game, let me know if you find typos, or if you wanted a different colour scheme or music; any comment is valid.

itch.ioDevlog - Skyward Sanctuary by Ranarh

Finally found enough will to clear off my horribly cluttered games table and set up my very first play of Final Girl.

I've picked up a handful of game modules for it plus these player mat add-ons really elevate it for me.

Cardboard and fabric ought not be this satisfying to me.

@jasonmoore That’s kind of what I was thinking.

I’ve been considered trying to get a game of Call of Cthulhu going. Everyone really loves the Arkham Files games and we could do so much in the broader realm of play it would afford.

If nothing else, I can use the rules for the system, which is a great way to play with yourself when your friends wont :blobcatuwu:

Sometimes constraints really do yield great results though.

Want a sci-fi in which your tutorial takes you into a Dyson sphere and has a Shipbook to upgrade ship, crew, and landing craft, as wells as a Planetopedia to discover new worlds.

I wouldn’t exactly call it in a box, but I wouldn’t NOT call it that.

Welcome to the redshirt!

We’re playing with 3 players, but it would also make for one hell of a if you don’t mind the 2-3 time investment. I emphasize investment on this one in particular.

If any of y'all out there are into solo #boardgames, there's a crowd sale going on right now from my favorite solo #boardgame designer:

thegamecrafter.com/crowdsale/d

The more people buy into this crowd sale, the lower the price gets. It only has one tier left to get to it's lowest price, and only 11 days left.

I've played several of his other #games, and omg I can't wait for this one! This one has my favorite style aesthetic so far.

I heard solo gamers talk really highly about Warp’s Edge; one gamer whose opinion I value rates it as his all-time favourite solo game. I couldn’t find a retail copy but spotted an impeccable pre-owned copy on eBay for a very reasonable price, so I snapped it up.

I won’t play it just yet, it will be my reward when I lose 18lbs. Hopefully I won’t have too long to wait! #BoardGames #Sologame #sologaming

@AlexTheAutisticArtist Another game which I enjoy is Lanterns. While there is no "official" solo rules my rules for the are semi-official.

I developed them after the release with input from one of Foxtrot Games owner, Randy Hoyt, a great deal of development and play testing from the community.

The easiest has a high win rate, the hardest has a win ratio was something like 1:4.

The final rules are in the first post, playtest data in the second.

BoardGameGeekSolo Variant - Grandmaster | Lanterns: The Harvest FestivalI've been working on a solo variant for Lanterns, because it is definitely enough of a puzzle to work solo. Here are the rules that I've come up with. My games so far have been challenging and I'm hoping others might provide feedback. The levels of difficulty

#LOOM update!

Now I'm just missing the Distaff Playmat (our version of a character sheet in line with LucasFilm's LOOM) and the last page which will probably see some pixel art.

If you want, you can get this 90% finished version already here: wuderpg.itch.io/loom - or you can wait and pick it up with lots of other solo games in the upcoming Solo But Not Alone 3 bundle.

I played Pathfinder: Rise of the Runelords while the games were on. I love to play a #sologame with sports playing on the TV. And I love Pathfinder ACG. Too bad Paizo phased it out. I really should grab another one while I can. I think there's some great card play and who can argue with rolling handfuls of dice? And it's the only campaign game I've ever stuck with. Done with Adventure Deck 1, so on to The Skinsaw Murders! #boardgames #1pg @boardgames

Hey all, it may be time for that #introduction thing again.

I'm Will, a tabletop game designer that you might know from games like the 80s alt history horror #ttrpg Party First or the #sologame One White Eye and the associated Second Guess System.

I'm also a long time player of competitive card games #ccg #cardgame so you might recognize me as #podcasting for the A Game of Thrones LCG #podcast, The White Book.

Oh, and I'm really digging Mastodon and run the Tabletop.vip instance.
