In the mouth of madness… The dreaded draw-bag from Arkham Horror: The Card Game. I reach into this thing as if its filled with grumpy scorpions, and every time it chooses violence. I’m glad they designed a “fail forward” system in the game. I thought my luck with dice was bad enough… #boardgames
@jasonmoore I’ve played Arkham Files games for years. I really want to get into this one, but I’m a bit late and it feels like the investment might be too steep. Looks like a great bag of scorpions though
@grryboy I think they changed the buy-in model a while ago, so perhaps a revised core set is better value now. But you will fall down a financial rabbit hole if it gets its claws in.
@jasonmoore That’s kind of what I was thinking.
I’ve been considered trying to get a game of Call of Cthulhu #ttrpg going. Everyone really loves the Arkham Files games and we could do so much in the broader realm of play it would afford.
If nothing else, I can use the #sologame rules for the system, which is a great way to play with yourself when your friends wont
Sometimes constraints really do yield great results though.
