A few months back, I joined Bluesky with a friend who is new to the Fediverse.

Since then, I've been taking note of a lot of what I'm experiencing there and trying to focus on how time on the app makes me feel as well as how the algorithm acts -- and it's not great. I'm strongly considering leaving soon. But before I do so, I wanted to get other opinions on and information about Bluesky. I don't really know much about it other than it was intended to be a Twitter alternative... I recently told another friend that I felt that out of all the networks in the Fediverse, Bluesky's likely the most toxic, imho. And I'm hoping others can confirm or deny that suspicion?
