Getting ready for.a ton of Match 3s!
Google is bringing every Android game to Windows in big gaming update
Android 16 Beta 3 brings "platform stability," meaning the stable build will look and function a lot like this build. Among other things it brings accessibility improvements and an updated Quick Settings panel. https://www.androidauthority.com/android-16-quick-settings-redesign-hands-on-3534161/ #Android16 #Android #OSUpdates #Google

So. Clearing Antrag ist raus fürs Android Smartphone. Kein Weg zurück.
Ich hoffe, ich bereue es nicht. Aber man muss ja mal offen für neues sein :)
Es wird ein "Nothing Phone 3(a) Pro“. Bin gespannt.
Anyone has a good launcher to recommend for Android that is available on F-Droid?
I don't need a lot, so minimal stuff is welcome.
Unfortunately, a further recommendation is to use the Sony flashing tool, Emma, to downgrade the Android version. Emma only runs on Windows. I don't have a Windows PC. So, I will either need to borrow a Windows PC, or try it with Virtualbox/Qemu.
I suspect borrowing a Windows PC might be the easiest route.
A new epic adventure is about to begin. My quest is to have a privacy-respecting, and functional, mobile 'phone that can also make calls using VoLTE and WiFi calling. My travelling companion will be Sailfish OS. I'm not expecting it to be an easy journey.
My first step was getting a compatible 'phone. Here it is, my Sony Xperia 10 III. The Xperia is currently running Android 13. I'm going to revert it back to Android 11, as per the recommendation in the Sailfish docs.
Adventurers, I need help!
My old mind doesn't want to remember what other DeGoogled ROMs are available for an Android phone.
I remember /e/OS from Murena and then...blank.
Could you help me remember?
If you feel like it, a brief review would be greatly appreciated but isn't mandatory
Thank you!
My Tile tracker batteries are starting to die and they aren't replaceable. Does anyone have a recommendation for other Android compatible trackers? How about the Pebblebee Tag for Android? Or Chipolo? I'm flying soon and would like to track my checked bags.

I am currently getting rid of most apps on my phone. Services I want to keep, I'll run in a browser that allows extensions.
Also, I am cutting ties with several services completely. The 404 article below fastened the process. Recommended read!
Fun fact: #Duolingo is much less annoying in the browser version. Several obnoxious features seem to be app only. Fuck the app. I'll never return.

#TIL you can "archive" apps on #Android.
I've been frustrated with "pause" for apps because they resume after about 12 hours and they still do stuff in the background anyway.
Instead you can
+ Long press
+ App Info
+ Archive
This basically removes them, but leaves the icon behind with a little "cloud download" indicator... So if you tap to launch the app it reinstalls and opens.
Nice.
