The new "Arkham Horror RPG" is such a beautiful book, with a wonderful layout and gorgeous illustrations. The only thing that I don't like about it, is the system :/

You essentially have a finite pool of dice per player that you're expending per scene (and that recharges once a scene is complete). Once you run out of dice, you can't really do anything any more during that scene.

Call of Cthulhu adventure hook #2: An abandoned, old Soviet satellite terminal in the middle of nowhere has been sending cryptic messages. A group of soldiers is being sent to investigate.

Once they've made their way through the wintery landscape, and arrive, they find out that an ancient evil is nesting at the station, and they have been sent as sacrifices.

The characters must attempt to flee and escape the creature and its minions.

Call of Cthulhu adventure hook #1: The investigators are invited to a job interview at an office building. The interview is somewhat bizarre, and when they attempt to leave the building, they realize that there are no windows, and no doors seem to be leading outside.

What's more, the building seems to be much larger on the inside than could reasonably be explained. The characters need to find a way out before whatever lured them here gets to them.

Day 19) Favorite published #TTRPG adventure

For a traditional #DnD zero-to-hero, save-the-world adventure series, it's hard to top "Rise of the Runelords" for #PathfinderRPG. Mix of dungeon, wilderness, urban, & small-town settings; interesting enemies; and lots of role-play opportunities.

Runners-up (all one-shots)
"Beast-Bound and Down" (Spirit of '77)
"Secret of Castonegro" (Call of Cthulhu)
"The Flocculent Cathedral" (Trophy Dark)

@LeviKornelsen

I like removing bioessentialism from games wherever possible and am very interested in talking about how to make random culture generation, self-scaling magic environments, character sheet design (UX) and making Narrator life as painless as possible.

Also inducting people into roleplaying.

I like having a bit of mechanics and agency in my games and these include:

#LevelUpA5e
#DnD
#Dread
#CallofCthulu
#SavageWorlds

And a LOT of microgames. Here's my 3rd book cover!
