The other day we were out and about later than we intended, but we really weren't bothered by the fact.

We had no agenda, no schedule, no plans other than to enjoy our outing, and it was a most liberating feeling.

"We'll wend our way back eventually," we told each other, "but for now, we're here."

On my way home from a last minute mission to view a sailboat in Scotland…

🚂 Cambridge - Euston - Penrith
🚙 Penrith - Oban
⛵️Ovni 385 viewing
🚙 Oban - Crinan - Calder Bridge
🚂 Sellafield - Barrow-in-Furness - Lancaster - Euston - Cambridge

And the weather was spectacular! ☀️

Got offered to go on a sailing trip from Hobart to Sydney on board the Windeward Bound (tallship) - well, not offered really, they were looking for crewmembers and they're somehow letting me come.

It's an 11 day trip, which should be... interesting. I've already been on the Lady Nelson for a 5 day trip around the southeast coast of Tasmania which was pretty fun.

Never seen the coast of Australia from a boat or done much outside of Tasmania, so this should be a pretty cool experience.

I just got excellent news. Our local #AbleSail Victoria program is opening up earlier this year! Our North Saanich Sidney location opens up for registrations in April. Our Oak Bay/Cadboro Bay location will open for registrations in mid-June. I'm so excited to get back on the ocean again & work on improving my #AdaptiveSailing skills.
I'd love to get my solo #sailing skills up to levels where I can enter to compete in future Mobility Cup regattas.

@artistsgarden Well... I've not experience enough to love #sailing in a massive wind. We sail up and down the Normandy and Brittany coasts - summer holiday stuff mostly. Sometimes if I need to get away I will hop solo over to Grainville or Carteret. But in the little boat we had there was still plenty of potential for incidents. Got demasted on the way into Paimpol once; sailed home with a big leak from St Malo another time. Big old force ? came up another throwing waves right over the boat.
