I can see at least one sitting TD losing their seat. I think the only cert is Bačik, and before today I would have said Geoghegan too. Sinn Féin's declining fortunes must be worrying Andrews. Hazel Chu has a real battle on her hands to hold Eamon Ryan's seat but it's certainly winnable. Kate O'Connell has a strong local base around Rathgar and Terenure but I don't know if that will be enough. If FG decide to run a second candidate (must likely Emma Blain) it will further split the FG vote #irpol
Meanwhile this has put the cat among the pigeons in my own constituency. Kate O'Connell running as an independent changes the whole dynamic of the election and makes it even more unpredictable. #irpol #DBS #GE24

I would have thought that Brian Stanley was one of the more capable Sinn Féin TDs. I've seen him in action as chair of the Public Accounts Committee and he comes across very well. This must be a serious blow to the party which seems to be descending into freefall in the run up to the general election. #irpol #GE24
