Speaking of maps, I am once again tracing the Connecticut River to its source lake(s). I keep thinking maybe a bike packing trip following it north until the end, er, start, which is the 4th Connecticut Lake (not the first, thus the end/start confusion). Along the way there’s this weird little jag of Vermont into New Hampshire, which must have an interesting back story.

conjunction of VT (lower left), NH (right) and Canada (upper left) where NH/VT continue being separated by the Connecticut until it reaches the same latitude of Canada’s border. Also, the NH/Canada border is a super squiggly northward line that appears to have once followed a river which of course keeps changing course.
The start of the Connecticut river is in a little gallbladder of a pond just below Canadian border (you have to hike to it, maybe even crossing into Canada) that then feeds into a much larger 3rd Connecticut lake

Map (figure 3 of the article) showing the concentration of urban theory production. Urban theory production is mostly concentrated in the UK, US, Canada and Australia. Many countries in Africa and Western Asia have 0 production. China, Singapore, South Africa and Brazil have some production. More detailed explanations follow: It shows concentrations of the production of urban theory in the UK, US, Canada and Australia. The rest of the production is mostly located in Europe, China, Singapore, South Afirca and Brazil. The map shows both countries (with a shade of grey) of publication and cities with their universities (with a circle diagram) were articles have been written. Many countries are completely "white" (especially in Africa and Western Asia, but also to a certain extent in South America): no articles at all from them are present in the sample. As described within the article: "Most theoretical articles come from the UK (29.4%), followed by the US (21.4%), Canada (10.7%), and Australia (6.5%). As it is visible in Figure 3, the rest of the list records mainly northern European countries, except for Italy and Greece, at the bottom. Asia is represented by China and Singapore; the Global South by South Africa (although, see the claim by Müller 2021 recalled on note 5), and Brazil with only 5 articles."
