I finished Flannigan's The Fall of the House of Usher. A very quick take:

As a Poe-inspired horror series, it was entertainingly violent and gory. It mostly did good at going beyond easy references to pull at least some depth from the stories/poems.

As a series dealing with opioid crisis and the evils of capitalism, it stumbles at the end. It goes preachy while ditching the art of metaphor and symbols.
