2024 is gonna go down as the year of gas-lighting. All year, I've been blocked and yelled at by the left about #Biden. I once called him a 'doddering old man' and got blasted from every fuckin' angle with 'TRUMP IS HITLER' and 'DEMOCRACY IS ON THE LINE'
Obviously Democracy is on the line. That's why we're angry. One old man's hubris won't allow him to do what EVERYONE knows is best for the country and we're going to end up in the worst case scenario because of it. #Biden2024
@jacklaridian What *would* have been best for the country is if he had decided NOT to run for a second term (as a lot of people thought he’d do when he won his first). But we’re here now, and I’m extremely dubious that someone else at this point could do better against Trump.

See, and I've of the mindset that nearly anyone else could do better against Trump. I think if Gretchen Whitmer (aka that woman from Michigan) stepped into the race, she would beat Trump soundly.
@jacklaridian I don’t think that’s borne out by the polling. In any case, I really can’t see passing over Harris, and to do so would likely seriously impact black voters’ perception of the Dems.
@michaelgemar I mean, I would take Harris over Biden but I don't know if she has any credibility left after doing pretty much nothing for 4 years.
@jacklaridian I agree — she should have been given a far greater profile and responsibilities in the Administration. It’s almost as if they didn’t want her overshadowing Biden.
But again, this is where we are, and unless she explicitly and *believably* says she doesn’t want to run, passing her over would be disastrous.

Well, with Trump he started a cult of racist people who felt left behind by progress. With Biden, he had the backing of all the career Democrats (and the mainstream media) to squash any opposition. Both parties played dirty, so we essentially have NO choice.

Yeah, but any third party gets squashed as soon as they gain any momentum. This is why we need more independent media. I think we're slowly moving toward that though. 'The arc of history bends toward justice.'
