This was the worst of the '89 Underwater Creature Features. This movie is just bad, pure schlock.
It takes more than an hour for the creature to show up onscreen. This is disappointing for a creature feature. The creature was meh. The first hour is boring trying to develop weak characters.
The bloody diving suit was pure camp. Miguel Ferrer's character was the most memorable. The use of minitures doesn't look good, but I applaud them for trying.

@mookie It wasn’t that long ago since I watched both this and Leviathan and I have a hard time sorting out which is which even now.
