Witches and that sort,
I've been listening to witchcraft docs today and one thing I've heard repeated many many times is that actual witches weren't killed in the witchcraft trials.
We don't know that. Were there many people targeted because they were different or female or had property or were beautiful or were ugly and had absolutely nothing to do with witchcraft?...yes.
But we don't know that actual witches weren't murdered.

This is one of my ancestors on my mother's side.
She "pretended to 'a spirit of prophesy and revelation of things to come'".
The sight runs in my family. Who am I to say she didn't have it?
She wasn't murdered, but was put on trial.
I don't know, neither does anyone else, if she practiced any form of witchcraft but she have the sight.
