There's an important argument for #leavingfacebook and #leavingtwitter that you don't see much, probably because people are modest.

I produce a *lot* of soc-med content, and I believe the quality is high too. So after I left #Twitter in 2022 and #Facebook last week, there's less to see there and the average quality is lower.

For the musicians out there.

How do you get off the Zuckerberg propganda machine and still keep your fans informed of your events, new music, etc. How do you get the Facebook followers to follow you to wherever it is you end up? We'll probably put up a post with our mailing list link, but what other suggestions might you have?

It is happening I am #leavingfacebook and #leavinginstagram . I decided that the changes at Meta recently don’t fit with me. It was not an easy decision to leave as I have many friends and family if follow on those platforms but since I was not very active on them anyway myself i thought to no longer have Meta benefit from me being a user. So today i purged all posts, likes, pictures and responses. In a few days i will delete my account and make Mastodon my new social media homebase.
