Ms McGee<p>Years before <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/ShutterIsland" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ShutterIsland</span></a>, people were raving about a film with a similar plot. And tbf, it's not exactly a rare trope. But everytime I try and find the earlier film, all I get is people saying "Oh, you mean shutter island" as if I didn't start the conversation saying "What was that film with the same plot as Shutter Island that everyone raved about, from about 10 years before???". It's why I expected the twist not too far into the film.</p>

I guess time is the only real test of whether a film is or is not a classic</p>
