So, I know it isn't the end of the year yet. There is still two weeks to go. But that annoying time-consuming beast, Christmas, threatens to eat up my spare time, with house tidying and family hosting.

But I crunched some numbers. This year, I have completed 98 games. 85 of them registered on #RetroAchievements and another 13 I picked up from my YouTube channel, like Crow Country and Fuga 2. This does not include indie games from itch.io

That's nearly 100 games this year. That's nearly 2 games a week!
I will see if I can eek out a couple more before the year's end.

Going into 2025, I might bring that average down to 1 game a week, because I could easily smash out some 8-bit or arcade games to keep the average high, but I want to try and do 52 meaningful completions next year.

Or maybe I can just see how many NES, SNES, Master System, Genesis/Megadrive games I can mark as complete by the end of the year. I have options.

Will be going live on #Twitch at 12:30 AM CST Illusion of Gaia turned 31 recently so I am continuing my playthrough of it I haven't played this game since it originally came out I also have never finished it. I'm a #SmallStreamer so please boost this post and raids are greatly appreciated.

Twitchangelus_05 - TwitchYou know me better as childofthe80s1981 on Youtube. I play mostly retro games but I do play newer games as well. Streams will now be saved to Youtube.

Absolutely love Amiga emulation using the Steam Deck. With the smart cropping making it nicely full screen, the on screen keyboard that emulates mouse input for trainers… it’s just perfect. Going through Rick Dangerous 2… it’s amazing how much you remember from these games. 34 years and I still recall what switches are traps.

Over the past few weeks, I've been compiling a list of 300 #games I wanted to play next year. Though, I changed my mind on the limitation and instead decided to make a list of some of the most historically important video games of all time, dating all the way back to 1971. I'm currently working on adding games released during the 1990s, though I finalized the section that includes stuff from the 1970s and 1980s, really entering the territory of #retrogaming and early technology. #Gaming is a hobby I've been into for a very long time and I'm excited to enter a journey that shows the evolution of the medium I have loved since I was three.

Here's a list of games from the 1970s that I plan to play:
Computer Space
Pong
Space Race
Speed Race
Gun Fight
Breakout
Death Race
Combat
Zork
Football
Space Invaders
Asteroids
Galaxian
Berserk
Pac-Man
