"Suddenly I See" is a song by Scottish singer-songwriter #KTTunstall from her debut studio album, #EyeToTheTelescope (2004). It was inspired by New York singer and poet #PattiSmith, whose album cover for #Horses (1975) also inspired Tunstall's album cover for Eye to the Telescope. The song was released on 29 August 2005 as the third single from the album in the United Kingdom. In the United States, it was released as the album's second single on 27 February 2006.

1) Spouse showed me a #PattiSmith video from her Substack. Patti talked for a dozen minutes about beloved tchotchkes she picked up from her desk after rummaging around in a calm stream-of-consciousness verbal meander. It was soothing! Who knew that a poet rock goddess in grandmacore mode is what anyone needed? But ❤️.
2) Started final papers for another cohort & the 1st one was a joy to read.
3) Senior leaders at work communicated poorly & my boss talked me down.

Been listening to a lot of Patti Smith lately, & I’m on my 2nd spin of this in two days. Every time I play it, I’m reminded of how underrated it is.

The songs are fantastic, but if I have one complaint about it, it’s Todd Rundgren’s production, as I find it far too restrained.
It’s improved more & more with age, but I still think Radio Ethiopia is better.
Still a good album, though.
