Abomininable attack on democracy:

This article has the best coverage I've seen about the impacts of Bill 212 to rural residents:

- 90 days to vacate one's home
- fines for failure to comply: $50k initial penalty, plus $10k per day of non payment. Penalty for 2nd offence is $100k
- Construction to occur 24/7, for years
- Grants province authority to enter private dwellings and use of force to take posessions of land

I found yesterday's bicycle protest at Queens Park extremely uplifting. It wasn't just the fact that hundreds of cyclists showed up to protest on a cold, cloudy, late -November afternoon. It was also the hero's welcome we received in the streets of this city of beautiful people. On Bloor Street, Pedestrians cheered and cars honked in support.

Why is data not really capable of been used by populism? Why does Dougie get to bitch and gaslight us to our faces by just yelling “we’re going to get shit down” and everyone else is confounded on how to respond when so much data exists on municipal infrastructure decisions? The NDP and Liberals in #ontario are so bad at figuring out to respond in simple and effective ways ways to Ford’s bullshit #onpoli #ottawa #biketooter #cenpoli
