I'm going to potentially fly in the face of public opinion here but I thought Nosferatu (2024) 🎬 was hyped up way too much. I'm a big Eggers fan and I'm not saying the movie was bad cos it wasn't. I thought it was well shot and directed. He put in the usual research and depth in there. I just didn't like a lot of the changes he made to characters like Ellen. I preferred the Werner Herzog version to this. Its a very good movie but I don't think its the best version of Nosferatu or the best Eggers movie. Willem Dafoe is still a legend. #Nosferatu #horrormovies #RobertEggers

I just watched #Nosferatu Behind The Scenes. This is probably the most overrated horror flick I've ever seen... and oh my God the cringe inducing arrogant phrases like "we aren't buildings sets, we build worlds" ... like the whole crap they doing is the first time in history or something. Filmmakers "buildings worlds" and making large scale movies since forever. Stop pretending like you invented something new because you are not.

Las revisiones son extremas, muy agradecidas o inclementes al límite. Tienen el sino de contar con un espejo para inspirarse y, después, para comparar.

Además, revisitar lo ya hecho es innecesario. Esto es así. Por lo que si sale bien será acogido con calidez y descubierto a nuevas generaciones. En caso contrario, mejor entregarse a la vida asceta un tiempo y hacer un nuevo proyecto diferente.

Murnau logró un hito (con intrahistoria propia) que Herzog supo capitanear muchas décadas más tarde. No ya el mito del vampiro sino el propio Nosferatu tiene mil posibilidades, complicadas pero tentadoras. A Eggers este plato se le queda con falta de un gratinado. Se come bien pese a no estar en el punto adecuado de cocción. Curiosamente le ocurrió parecido con La bruja, solo que ahí jugó a su favor la originalidad, que le brindó un redondeo al alza complicado de dar a su Nosferatu.

Esta nueva visión del mito de la fantasía macabra técnicamente es irreprochable. Eggers parece bayonizado. La atmósfera, la decoración, la ropa, es de cuento gótico de manual. Ovación absoluta.

La historia también se bayoniza. No tiene sangre. Ni el inmortal ni les mortales. El ser de ultratumba anhela migajas. Está falto de olfato o se conforma con poco. Y salido. Está cachondo.

Cierto que Lily y Nicholas salen airosos, pero se debe a su entrega, para nada al contenido de sus líneas. Solo Skarsgård logra brillar, y lo hace arriesgando, deconstruyéndose como nunca. Incluso Dafoe parece artificial encarnando a un remedo del Van Helsing más kitsch.

El filme entretiene pese a fluir con altibajos, formando charcos en lugares comunes, ahora bien, para esta película entretenida es un adjetivo con olor a ajo.

¿Cómo habría escrito esta película del Toro? ¿Y Mark Gatiss y Steven Moffat? ¿Y...?

Właśnie jestem po seansie "Nosferatu" i film bardzo mi się podobał. Klimat, muzyka, praca kamery. Znawcą nie jestem toteż żadnych wad nie widziałem. Podczas seansu natomiast przypomniał mi się inny film o wampirach: "O dziewczynie, która wraca nocą sama do domu" z 2014 roku a najbardziej utwór który został w nim wykorzystany: Death - White Lies

On a vu le dernier Nosferatu, c'est pas trop mal,mais'un peu long d'autant qu'on connaît déjà l'histoire qui change pas du tout.
Photographie intéressante mais lassantenet effets abusivement utilisés.

Le vampire est réussi, on est quand même pris dans l'ambiance, ça se regarde bien. On n'a pas trouvé l'actrice principale très douée.
