C.<p>Fox "News"'s Maria Bartiromo had a live meltdown on-air when a reporter was interviewing a car dealer. The dealer said that he lost a sale of a pickup because of Trump's 25% tariff, because the price of the truck jumped from $80k to $100k.</p><p>Bartiromo furiously defended the tariffs, saying this about the "Dodge Ram" (they aren't Dodges no more, but whatever):</p><p>> "How many Dodge Rams do you see around Europe?! How many <br>> Dodge Rams do you see driving around India?! Not many, I bet. <br>> Why? Because they don’t buy our cars!" </p><p>The absolute cluelessness here is incredible; that a "news" host doesn't know the first thing about Europe, much less India, but comments on it anyway, is ludicrous.</p><p>Attention Fox "News": the reason Europeans don't buy USAnian pickup trucks is because they're too bloody big for the roads, much less the parking spaces. Most Europeans wouldn't be able to get one of these monsters to their house, much less find a place on the street to park it.</p><p>In India, it's even worse. Go look up what they drive there. C.<p>Now that Trump's Project 2025 is starting to have real, detrimental effects on many of his followers - job losses, Medicaid cuts, Social Security cuts (if Musk's recent comments are anything to go by), and on and on - you're starting to hear surprised reactions from some of them along the lines of "I didn't vote for this".</p><p>The whole Leopards Eating Peoples' Faces Party jokes are not particularly helpful as a response. Instead, these points are applicable and you can use them:</p><p>1. Yes, you did vote for this.<br>2. You didn't *know* you were voting for this.<br>3. The reason for that is that you obtain your information from Fox News (or OAN, etc).<br>4. Fox News lied to you, from day one. They're still lying to you. They tell you how great Trump is, how good his policies will be for you. They just don't cover anything about him to tell you that he really doesn't care about what you need. Such topics include Project 2025, his inner circle of billionaires, etc.<br>5. Everyone tried to tell you what would happen under Trump. You didn't listen, because Fox News told you it was lies, or they simply didn't cover it at all.<br>6. You can't revoke your vote for Trump - but what you *can* do is start getting at least half your news from sources that disagree with Fox - i.e., ones that tell the truth.</p><p>Stop. Believing. Fox.
