letterboxd.comA ★★★★ review of Longlegs (2024)It doesn’t surprise me that I liked Longlegs more on a rewatch, as I’ve been thinking more fondly of it in the months since I saw it in theaters. Osgood Perkins has been a bit mixed as a filmmaker for me; I love The Blackcoat’s Daughter but was less enchanted with Gretel & Hansel and I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House ran cold for me. Longlegs is probably Perkins’ most accessible film to date, it it’s still a challenging watch and it took me just a little bit to warm to it at the level it deserves.
