Just finished Joe Hill's 20th Century Ghosts. I've read his novels, but I don't usually love short story collections, so I'd skipped this until now. But there was some great stuff in here. The last story, in particular, Voluntary Committal, is some of his best work. I'd say my second favorite after NOS4A2.
Also, kudos for stuffing a final short story into the Acknowledgements, like Marvel throwing one last scene after the credits. Hilarious.
Although, now that I've said the thing about short story collections not being my jam, I think next on my list is going to be Paul Tremblay's new collection, The Beast You Are. Some authors you just gotta read, whatever the format
