As Idealists and Pandeists, the National Progressive Gnostic could subscribe to the following:
That Mind(ing) is fundamental to the Universe as a pan “psychic” process in which everything - every particle, every object participates in --and therefore, has a mental component, existing as non-emergent (Mind didn't emerge, it was already there), less real manifestations/imperfections of the divine Mind that permeates the entire Universe,
And that has reached its evolutionary apex in human beings in the form of highly sophisticated, acutely responsive, richly qualia-tative, HYPER-monitoring, Self-consciously rational, logical thinking, whose goal is to eventually produce a homeostatic, stable, even-handed, equitable state of affairs/dialectical synthesis among humans - a discourse of POWER BALANCE in Foucaultian terms.
Of course, there is a real difficulty in conceptualizing panpsychism within Idealism. & I'm very sympathetic to some form of "property dualism" that David Chalmers has masterfully articulated.

Takeaway: To be a National Progressive Gnostic one cannot in any way be a reductive materialist/physicalist.
And i don;t think that some grand Hegelian synthesis must = totalitarianism.
Totality can mean - Unity in Flourishing Diversity
According to the National Progressive Gnostic:
God as the Demiurge makes man in his ugly, broken, ignorant, insecure, DISSOCIATED image.
But armed with active Wisdom i.e., the will to consciousness - critical reason, morality, imagination, factual, intentionally coded and stored knowledge, technology, etc. - humanity has the ability to make God/Demiurge/will to power/domination into a prettier image – a Pretty Gnostic Machine!
Also, contra Hegel, I do not believe religion is necessary to maintain a thriving civilization and Ethics. But some form of spirituality is!
Yes this is what I do on my day off: i read and think.
