Of course this is based on the presupposition that our society as a whole lacks the requisite consciousness to implement full-blown socialism. and the Leninist telescoping shortcut will only lead to a total collapse, which in all likelihood given the ignorant, regressive nature of at least 30 percent of the US electorate, would result in some form of Mad Max dystopian outcome.
