In New York City #OnThisDay 70 years ago, Warner Bros. released the first major studio 3-D feature, Andre de Toth's House of Wax. A colourful, full-blooded remake of Michael Curtiz's (weirder) pre-Code classic Mystery of the Wax Museum (1933), it transformed 42 year old Vincent Price into the first post-war horror icon and became one of the biggest box office hits of the year.
